In my role, I significantly contribute to enhancing the scalability, resilience, and efficiency of Adobe Experience Manager, which is the company’s leading Digital Experience Management platform.
My engineering contributions range from high-level solution design to implementation, covering aspects like the User Interface (UI), system architecture, orchestration layers, and API services. I am an integral part of Adobe Experience Manager's Cloud Foundation Engineering team.
Senior Cloud Software Engineer, Data Deletion
During my tenure at Zurich Insurance, I was a key member of the Data Deletion team, responsible for engineering solutions focused on compliantly deleting personal data. The role involved managing vast volumes of sensitive data and designing robust workflows for consistent deletion processes.
I initially joined the team as a DevOps specialist to facilitate the transition of the existing system to cloud infrastructure. Subsequently, I spearheaded the design and proof-of-concept development of a next-generation data deletion orchestration engine. Utilizing cutting-edge open-source solutions we achieved better throughput and consistency and streamlined integration with other services.
Senior Software Engineer
At Swiss Re, I made substantial contributions to the UX/UI design of client-facing financial applications. I introduced and optimized complex elements such as charts, heatmaps, and geospatial maps. On the backend, I implemented parallel computation techniques to significantly speed up the processing of large data files, extending to several gigabytes. Additionally, I employed WebWorkers on the UI side for enhanced performance.
I led a team of three engineers in developing public-facing APIs and a single-page web application (SPA) for georeferenced data, aimed at providing pricing calculations to clients. These projects utilized both React and Angular frameworks.
IoT Architect, Developer
My contributions also span the use of cutting-edge technologies and methodologies in human-machine interaction, aiming to retrofit older machinery—primarily work trains—with modern, connected capabilities while ensuring robust and secure architecture.
For software development, I chose React and Electron frameworks. The hardware consists of a quad-core embedded Linux device interfaced with industrial peripherals. Among various hardware and software solutions, I developed a MODBUS TCP virtual slave that acts as a Kafka streaming client, facilitating easy integration of legacy Programmable Logic Controllers (most of which are legacy systems) into cloud environments.
